School Supply Drive for Children in Need

8th of August 2016

Many children in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties come from very little means and are often unprepared for school. That’s why, each year, our team gears up in preparation for our annual back-to-school supply drive. This year, we’ve decided to reach out to our local community to help gather essential supplies for children of all ages. These children depend on the generosity of others to fulfill this need. Our goal is to supply 150 children with complete back-to-school kits.

To kick off our back to school drive, Foundation volunteers assembled boxes for donations and contacted businesses near the Children’s Foundation of America headquarters in downtown Claremont, California. This way, people of all walks of life can connect to our cause while doing their day-to-day errands. Donations will be collected through August 31 and drop-off boxes can be found in various locations around the Village:

Update: Only two weeks in and two of our donation boxes are filling with calculators, pens, pencils, crayons and notebooks! We love the power of community! Keep it up–the more supplies we get the more children we help.
