CFA Kicks off Holiday Season

1st of December 2018

‘Tis the season of giving, and on November 16 at Claremont’s annual Holiday Promenade, the Children’s foundation of America offered an opportunity to give to those in need!

Claremont’s Holiday Promenade kicked off the winter season with a variety of performers. Among them were the Voices of Christmas carolers and the Swing Cats. Booths featuring local businesses and artisan goods filled the Claremont Village. CFA had a gift wrapping booth set up near the main stage at the Claremont Depot. Volunteers wrapped shoppers’ gifts for donations. Wish tags were on display from children in foster care so that guests could fulfill requests as they did their holiday shopping.

Meanwhile in the Claremont Packing House, Lyks Creatives sponsored a photo booth to take holiday portraits for donations. All proceedings will support local foster youth this holiday season.

CFA thanks City Council members Corey Calaycay, Sam Pedroza and Ed Reece, as well as the Claremont Police Explorers for joining us in gift wrapping! A special thank you to our sponsors at the Claremont Village Marketing Group and Claremont Escrow for making this possible.

CFA’s gift wrapping booth will be making several more appearances throughout the holiday season, offering many opportunities to donate, make a difference, and get all those Christmas gifts wrapped without the hassle! As part of our Holiday Heroes campaign you can find us wrapping gifts at Montclair Place December 8-9 and 14-24 during regular mall hours.
